You got training at the beginning of your career. Did it show you exactly how to succeed? And, more importantly, did it lay out exactly what to do to succeed? And, finally, did that training program prepare you to succeed in real estate fast? Was it responsible for your fast success?

The Promise—and The Reality

Every company says they have training, right? And, they do—kind of. When you interview, you assume that the company training will make you successful. Wrong assumption?  In truth, that training means nothing if you didn’t succeed in real estate fast from that training.

Training—and the Business Start-Up Plan

Training isn’t usually specific. It’s inspirational stories and advice on how to succeed. That’s fine, but it falls short of guiding new agents on exactly what to do each day—in priority—to succeed. You need both. I’m preparing to publish my seventh edition (!) of Up and Running in 30 Days, the new agents’ real estate start-up business plan. With every edition, I update it with new agent quotes, strategies, technology, and priorities. Unlike other programs, this isn’t a ‘how I did it’ or just ‘how to do it’. It is a precise, scheduled, prioritized action plan to train your brain to think like a top producer—from day one. It is modeled on how agents who succeed act in their real estate business every day:

  • What they do
  • What they prioritize
  • When they do it
  • Why they do it
  • What not to do—how agents unwittingly fail
  • How to measure your results as you go and make quick adjustments so you don’t fall into the failure trap

Executive Coaching in a Book

These are the principals great coaches use to coach succeeding agents. I put them in a book so every new agent, for a very small investment, can follow this plan and succeed fast. The sad truth is that 50% of agents who enter the business every year fail! That’s unfortunate—for the agent, for the company, and for the clients they leave as ‘orphans’.

How You Can Help the Industry: Three Questions for You

I became a top producer my first year in real estate—through trial and error! Agents won’t believe me nearly as much as they will believe your advice! So,

  1. Tell me what made a difference in your early career—what your training did for you; best advice; where your training failed you
  2. What single bit of advice would you give new agents launching a career
  3. If you had to start now, what would be most important to you to succeed fast?

Contributors Receive Perks Just by Answering the Questions!

I always include successful agents’ advice and quotes in my books. When you provide answers to the questions above, you will receive a hard copy of my Little Book of Big Ideas. (inspirational and practical quotes to succeed in sales). To receive this, since it is a hard copy, please give me your mailing address (US only).

Want to Be Quoted in the Book?

It’s inspirational to include successful agents’ quotes in my books. If you are chosen, I do a short interview with you, get permission for your quote, and get it published by my international publisher, Dearborn Publishing (the largest publisher of small business books in the world). You will also receive a complimentary copy of the seventh edition of Up and Running in 30 Days, of course (due out in a few months)
